Transportation to Camp Nashoba North
Camp Nashoba North offers chaperoned van/bus service from the Boston area at the beginning and end of each 4 week session. Domestic flights are routinely met by Nashoba staff at the Portland, Maine Jetport. Transportation to the Jetport at the beginning and end of each 4 week session between the hours of 10 AM. And 2 PM. is assessed a $75.00 per child. After these hours and days a charge of $100.00 per person will be assessed. International flights are met at the Boston Logan airport. Boston pick-up is $175.00 per person on the 4 week opening and closing days of camp, during the hours of 10 AM. and 2 PM. After these hours and days a charge of $200.00 per person will be assessed. Please note that these trips are private chaperoned charters. Refer to the Nashoba Transportation Questionnaire for more details.
FLYING TO and FROM CAMP
Campers traveling by airplane should be placed in the custody of the airlines whenever possible. Specific age requirements of unaccompanied minors are determined by each airline. Please confirm all flights within 48 hours of arrival with our directors by telephone. Bags must be shipped 10 business days prior to arrival. Only carry on bags will be accepted to travel to and from camp. (Exception: International campers) Flight plans must be on file with the Nashoba office prior to June 1st. Private Aircraft: Nashoba staff are available to meet campers in the General Aviation terminal at the Portland International Jetport. Crescent Lake is a certified float plane landing lake; please call the office for coordinates.
OPENING DAY
Parents should plan their arrival at camp after lunch between 12 Noon and 3:00 PM. on Sunday. Our friendly staff will help with your needs, answer your questions, serve cold drinks, carry trunks and provide a camp tour if you desire. Early arrivals will be asked to wait at the gate until we open at noon. Parents may meet with our staff and discuss pertinent information with our nurses, counselors and/or directors. We officially start camp at 3 o’clock and ask all parents to have departed by this time.
CLOSING DAY
Parents should plan their arrival between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. on Thursday. Our camp buses leave at 9AM and it is much quieter after this departure. Our staff will be available to say good-bye; take photographs, exchange addresses and carry trunks.
